I created this wordmark for a newly founded café on the island Fehmarn. The owners came up with the name and gave me free rein to design a suitable logo. They asked to address both surfers and the elderly as the target audience. Since they wanted to print the design on colorful batik textiles, maximum functionality was a must.
Given the complex nature of the name I suggested a wordmark to focus on the word play. By adjusting the surrounding letters I designated fé as the focal point of the brand — visually as well as conceptually. fé is catchy and easy to pronounce. The perfect identity for your laid back café and snack bar you love to go to.
