Concept

IFEP promotes the importance of a free press and free expression around the world. This is my submission to their corporate identity design contest. Even though I did not win the contest I am still pleased with the outcome and proud to present it today.
In their initial briefing the nonprofit organisation asked to target a young audience of age 12 to 25 with a modern and youthful as well as sophisticated design. The vibrant and energetic orange hue as the main brand color was given.
My approach was to create a distinct design that communicates the positive ideas and the project’s goals. The main goal is free expression which is represented as the geometric speech bubble in the logo. It opens towards the typographic compound of the logo. Within the bubble is a part of the globe to illustrate the international scope.
